Inactivated antigen is produced for a wide variety of viruses. Antigens are most commonly prepared from mouse brain or mouse liver, but occasionally other systems are available. This reagent is used in protocols such as antibody production, hemagglutination inhibition, complement fixation, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays.
