Contract Employees

Contract employees should report exposure immediately to assure UTMB obtains and tests the source patient's blood. The exposed employee may register as a patient at a UTMB Emergency Room or be seen by their employer's occupational health provider.

Source patient information for a non-UTMB employee will be relayed to the appropriiate agency's infection safety officer, occupational health provider, or county health authority.
