The Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences (CLS) provides an environment of interdisciplinary research, education and scholarship that is recognized internationally for scientific quality and significance. Our goals are to:
- Support graduate education and research training programs in rehabilitation sciences, nutrition, and physical activity with a focus on recovery associated with disabilities and chronic disease that limit physical independence.
- Facilitate faculty development and opportunities for collaborative scholarship in rehabilitation, disability, exercise, and nutrition.
- Establish support services that encourage research and scholarship examining methods of prevention, intervention, and recovery associated with disabilities and chronic disease that limit a person's ability to engage in meaningful personal, community,
recreational, and vocational activities.
