Moody Methodist Church Welcomes Return of Seaside Senior Expo

Galveston, TX – August 28, 2024 – Moody Methodist Church is excited to announce the upcoming 2024 Seaside Senior Expo. This community event will provide valuable resources, information, and support for adults age 55+ and family caregivers of older adults from the Galveston County area. The expo is on Friday, September 6 from 9:00am to 1:00pm in the church gym at 2803 53rd St. in Galveston. Parking is free.

Moody Methodist Church is proud to host the 2024 expo, which had taken a hiatus since 2019, as the community navigated COVID-19. The Seaside Senior Expo will feature a wide range of exhibitors, including healthcare providers, legal experts, and community organizations focused on meeting the special needs of older adults. Attendees will have the opportunity to:

• Explore Health and Wellness Services: Flu vaccines will be provided, with your Medicare Card, while supplies last. The Galveston County Health District will provide various health screenings.
• Discover Financial and Legal Advice: Several free education sessions throughout the morning will cover topics such as “ Medicaid for the Middle Class” and “Estate Planning, More Than Just Important Papers”.
• Gather Information and Resources: Attendees will have an opportunity to meet dozens of senior care vendors with fun giveaways
• Enjoy Musical Entertainment and Lunch for Seniors: After completing a vendor fair bingo card for a chance to win a door prize, attendees are invited to enjoy a boxed lunch while listening to the vocal stylings from singer Mickey Hobbs.

The 2024 Seaside Senior Expo is free for senior adults age 55+. Family caregivers are also welcome.
