Clinical Experience

Our clinical experience offered through this fellowship takes advantage of our institutional resources at UTMB as well as our regional resources. UTMB has well established pain clinic locations servicing the rapidly expanding South Houston/Galveston area including state of the art operative suites at the UTMB League City Campus and Jennie Sealy Hospital on Galveston Island. Further unique opportunities inherent within our program include exposure to the Shriners Hospital for Children and the Texas Department of Corrections. Regionally, we have strong collaborative relationships with private practice and specialized academic sister institutions. Our affiliation with the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center allows our fellows to expand their skill set in a unique cancer pain demographic. Further, we have two prominent private practice affiliations including Space City Pain Specialists and Advanced Pain Management Specialists of Baytown. These regional relationships enhance the yearly fellowship in unique clinic settings in order to expose our fellows to multiple patient demographics and practice models.
