Faculty Profile

  • Dr. Aziz is a native Houstonian and has spent her career and training in the state of Texas. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Houston, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Biology. She attended Texas A&M University College of Medicine before moving to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where she completed her Internal Medicine residency and Medical Oncology fellowship. She served as Chief Fellow for Medical Oncology in her final year of training. After completing her fellowship, she joined as faculty in 2019.

    Dr. Aziz’s clinical interest is breast medical oncology. She facilitates and participates in Multidisciplinary Tumor Conferences for Breast Malignancies at UTMB as well as MDA. She serves as clinical educator for the medical oncology fellowship, creating and facilitating the breast medical oncology curriculum. She also provides oncologic care for a broad spectrum of tumor types to the inmate population in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Hospital located at UTMB.
