Please consider nominating an individual whom you believe should receive the MLK Community Service Award, honoring those individuals who emulate Dr. King’s dream, exemplify the attributes of servant leadership, and have made a profound difference through dedication and service to UTMB and the greater community.
All active full- and part-time UTMB faculty, staff and students may be nominated.
Nominations may recognize individuals who have:
- A record of community service for a local community organization or the UTMB community
- Demonstrated the virtues and skills of civic engagement and social responsibility
- Acted as a champion for cultural diversity, inclusion and community partnership
- Inspired change, which had a positive impact on others
The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23.
The award recipient will be formerly recognized at the annual MLK Community Service Award Ceremony and Luncheon on Jan. 29.
