Educational Technologies
Academic Computing provides and supports many of the educational technologies and resources for the academic area. Though the main area of support is to our schools, many of our applications are available for use campus wide. Applications include Blackboard
learning management system, video management/screen capture, online testing, audience response and more.
Blackboard
Blackboard Ultra Base Navigation is our campus Learning Management System (LMS) and used for distance, blended, face-to-face and adhoc courses. Blackboard allows for online teaching and learning, content management and distribution, communication and collaboration. Features
include: discussions, assignments, assessments and grade book. We also have many integrated applications such as Panopto, Softchalk, Respondus, and VoiceThread.

EAC Visual Data
EAC Visual Data (EAC) enhances Blackboard Assessment statistics and analysis. EAC can be used to review test and item reliability statistics. This information can aid in improving quality of tests and test questions.

Panopto Video
Panopto is our campus video management and screen/lecture capture solution. Tightly integrated with Blackboard, students and instructors simply access recordings from the Panopto Video link within the course. You have the option to upload recordings from
Teams, Zoom and other vids into Panopto. Instructors, we have many resources to get you started.

The Poll Everywhere audience response tool provides live interactive polling, web delivery & PowerPoint embedding, as well as reporting and results. It is available for on and off-site functions.

Respondus 4.0 Exam Software
Respondus 4.0 Exam software is an additional tool for editing and publishing exams into Blackboard. It can also be used to created digital and printed copies of an exam.

SafeAssign
SafeAssign is a Blackboard tool that compares submitted assignments against a set of academic papers to identify areas of overlap between the submitted assignment and existing works. SafeAssign originality reports provide detailed information about the
matches found between a student’s submitted paper and existing sources. Both instructors and students can use the report to review assignment submissions for originality and create opportunities to identify how to properly attribute sources.

VoiceThread transforms media into asynchronous collaborative spaces with video, voice and text commenting. It is a cloud application with no software to install. The application is available to all Blackboard Instructors through LTI integration.
