Services We Offer:

Minimally Invasive and Robotic Urology

At the UTMB Section of Minimally Invasive and Robotic Urology, urologic surgeons offer several robotic assisted and laparoscopic procedures designed to provide a high level of surgical care and precision, while minimizing pain and scarring that is associated with open surgery. We currently have three urologic surgeons experienced in robotic and laparoscopic procedures providing treatments for cancer of the prostate and kidney, as well as reconstructive procedures for benign diseases.

In addition to our surgeons, we have an operative team of anesthesiologists, nurses and technicians who have familiarity in working in the unique operative environment of robotic surgery.

We are proud to announce the introduction of the DaVinci Si Surgical System to our program. This system replaces an earlier standard system which has been in use at UTMB for the past nine years. The new system is the most advanced robotic platform available today.
