Q: Do you offer after hours appointments?A: Sorry, not at this time. Call 409-772-2222 to make an appointment. Please
note there are several UTMB urgent care clinics for adults and
children,
see list. For an emergency please dial 911 or visit your local
emergency room,
see UTMB's emergency rooms.
Q: What if I need to speak with a nurse or have a medical question after hours?A: Please contact the UTMB Health Access Center at 409-772-2222
Q: How do I get copies of my medical record?A: You can obtain copies
of your medical record by calling the medical records department at
409-772-1965. If you need your medical record sent to another provider
you will need to go to the clinic and sign a medical release form and
have the providers information with you where the records are to be
sent.
Q: What are my options if I show up and my doctor is running way behind?A: While appointments are
scheduled to accommodate each patient with ample time to see their
caregiver, there are patients who may require extra attention or there
may be an emergency situation which would cause your provider to be
delayed. We understand that you may not always be able to wait for your
provider in these situations. We try to communicate and inform our
patients of any delays via the provider status board in the waiting
areas. By having this information in advance you may either decide to
reschedule your appointment or ask to be seen by another provider within
the same care team.
Q: What happens if I am later then 15 minutes to my appointment?A: We make every attempt
to see patients as close to their appointment times as possible. If you
arrive more than 15 minutes late it may disrupt and inconvenience other
appointments throughout the day. The clinic will evaluate your
providers schedule and see if it can handle this disruption. If so, you
will be worked in at the soonest possible time. If not, we reserve the
right to ask you to reschedule your appointment for another time or we
may ask if you would like to be seen by another provider within the same
care team.
