Adult Primary Care

At UTMB Health, some of the most important partnerships that exist are the ones between our primary care providers and the patients they serve. Our adult primary care doctors (general internal medicine and family medicine physicians) work with advanced nurse practitioners and others on the care team to efficiently meet your needs. Your primary care provider (sometimes called a "PCP") is typically your primary health contact and principal source of ongoing care. He or she coordinates other specialty care you may need, and works alongside you to manage conditions and ensure your good health.
