Several vascular team members recently presented their work and research at national vascular events.
At the Vascular Annual Meeting 2023 (VAM23), Dr. Michael Silva was invited to speak on transfemoral carotid artery stenting. Dr. Christine Shokrzadeh spoke about mentorship to trainees and moderated the Young Surgeons Sessions. Dr. Mitchell Cox presented
on retrograde superior mesenteric artery stenting via jejunal arterial access, and, Dr. Ruth Bush presented on the benefits of being a review for JVS. She was also invited to speak on contract at the Women Surgeons Session.
Dr. Christine Shokrzadeh received a DEI grant for the Eastern Vascular Society Annual Meeting (EVS). She traveled to Washington DC recently to give an update on her work towards family planning trends in vascular surgery trainees. Dr. Junji Tsukagoshi
presented in the poster competition on the use of IVUS in treating peripheral arterial disease in a meta-analysis.
