UTMB transplant surgeon Trine Engebretsen, MD, was featured in a front-page story in the Houston Chronicle on Jan. 2. 

The story focused on her experience as a liver transplant recipient and her marriage to fellow transplant recipient Ryan Labbe. They are believed to be the first pair of liver transplant recipients to have children together.
