Omar Sahibzada (post nominals) received the Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award from The Gold Humanism Honor Society. Third year students from the School of Medicine select residents to be awarded this annual honor. The selection process is based on the selectee’s demonstration of commitment to teaching and compassionate treatment of patients and families within the UTMB community. 

Message from Dr. Sahibzada: 

I am humbled to have been selected by the students for this award. Working with students is one of the most exciting parts of my job, and it is their hard work and dedication that can be so uplifting to both patients and their care teams. I will always be so proud to have been a medical student at UTMB, and strive to provide an excellent educational experience for our students, as so many people have done for me.
