The Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch offers a 1- or 2- week observership rotation at our facilities for both dental and medical students who are interested in pursuing a career in oral and maxillofacial
surgery.
Activities include observation in the day-to-day activities of our program - rounds, clinics, inpatient care, and observing in the operating rooms and in the trauma and emergency suites.
How Do I Apply?
All prospective observers must submit the following to be considered for the program:
- A letter recommending the student for the observership from a full-time faculty member or the Chair of Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery at the student's school
- A dental school transcript
- Provide a curriculum vitae or resume
- A recent 2x2 photo
