Williams presented his research: “Implementation and Dissemination of a High Value Care Program at an Academic Safety Net Health System: Impact and Opportunities for Learning Organizations” at The American College of Healthcare Executives 2023 Congress on Healthcare Leadership “Bolder/ Brighter.” His presentation focused on treating patients using the most cost-effective, evidence-based practice standards. Dr. Williams’ research identifies several opportunities to improve patient outcomes. A message from Dr. Williams: “We are a high value practice organization (HVPO) at UTMB and it was an honor to share our journey with national leaders to improve value for our patients. Through the hard work of the front-line and pillar members/leaders at UTMB, we are able to inform other organizations of the learning opportunities innate within any health system to provide high value care.
