Special Interests: Dr. Throndson’s research interests include the physiology of bone grafting and healing, dental and maxillofacial implants for reconstruction of the dentition and facial complex, and alloplastic grafting materials. He has presented and attended numerous lectures and seminars nationally and inter-nationally, and he is highly regarded by his colleagues.
Awards/Honors: In 1999 Dr. Throndson was Inducted into the American College of Dentists; 1999 Selected as an ADA sponsored OMS Training Site Visitor; 2002 Biographical Listing in Who’s Who in American Medicine and Health Care; 2007-2014 Listing in Top Dentists in Texas; 2012 One of 15 finalists for Texas Dentist of the Year. He was named Holder of the Carl E. Schow Chair in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2010. In 2014, Dr. Throndson and Dr. Glenn received a Grant from The President’s Cabinet to establish a dental clinic at St. Vincent’s Clinic in Galveston.
