NASA Johnson Space Center Space Medicine Clerkship

The four week Space Medicine Clerkship is offered by the NASA Johnson Space Center semi-annually during the months of April and October and is located at the Johnson Space Center (Houston, Texas). The Clerkship typically begins the first Monday and concludes on the last Friday of the month. The clerkship involves formal lectures on space medicine topics and issues, as well as familiarization with the medical aspects of International Space Station operations, design and function. Clerkship participants are required to complete a research project and paper in a current focus area of space medicine, which will be presented both orally and written to the JSC Space Medicine Community.

Aerospace Medical Association

The Aerospace Medical Association (AsMA) is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes. It is the largest, most-representative professional membership organization in the fields of aviation, space, and environmental medicine.

Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education

The ACGME accredits Sponsoring Institutions and residency and fellowship programs, confers recognition on additional program formats or components, and dedicates resources to initiatives addressing areas of import in graduate medical education.

AMSRO is the official student and resident organization of the Aerospace Medical Association. Its members include medical residents, medical students, graduate students, allied health students, and undergraduate students.
