Congratulations to Klarisa Lopez, who graduated Friday with her Master of Public Health in Bioethics from UTMB's School of Public and Population Health (SPPH)! Her thesis was titled "Language Access for Limited English Proficient (LEP) Populations: A Systemic Review." The MPH in Bioethics is for students who want to engage the moral, philosophical, and legal questions that medicine, research, and public health raise, from clinical decisions at the bedside to the rights and dignity of whole populations. Graduates may go on to roles in healthcare ethics, policy, advocacy, research, and academic settings.
