Biography
Dr. Marciano has a background in Biopsychology and was actively involved in clinical research throughout her undergraduate career. She was the recipient of the 2004 Howard Hughes Medical Institute Summer Fellowship and Grant. She graduated from SUNY Stony Brook’s School of Health Technology and Management Physician Assistant Program with her Master Degree in Science (2010) and from the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine with her Doctor Degree in Medical Science (2024). Since then, she has predominantly practiced in medicine roles. She began her career as a family medicine provider and soon transitioned to an inpatient setting where she has been practicing internal medicine and critical care. She remains on staff at HCA Clearlake and is credentialed at other regional hospitals where she continues to practice. Prior to joining UTMB faculty, she had remained involved with her alma mater SUNY Stony Brook, as both a clinical preceptor and guest lecturer. Professor Marciano is a Fellow member of AAPA, TAPA and PAEA.
