Biography
Arminia Jo Peyregne-Lollar, DMSc, PA-C is an assistant professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies in the UTMB John Sealy School of Medicine and chair of the program’s recruitment committee. Originally from Bayou La Batre, Alabama, Ms. Peyregne-Lollar graduated with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from University of Birmingham Surgical PA Program and a Doctor of Medical Science degree from the University of Lynchburg. She served twelve years in the United States Air Force and Louisiana Air National Guard as an EMT-B, medic, and optometry technician. She began her PA career in the Mississippi Delta in Family Medicine and Rural Health, but later branched off into General Surgery, Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, Urology Surgical Oncology, and Orthopedic Surgery to include inpatient and outpatient total joint reconstruction, trauma and general orthopedic subspecialties.
Ms. Peyregne-Lollar started her PA education career as the Director of Admissions and Faculty Instructor for Mississippi College Physician Assistant Studies Master of Medicine Program.
She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and Physician Assistant Educators Association (PAEA).
