Additional Expenses
The cost of travel to clinical rotations is different for each student based on multiple factors including differences in rotation location, number of sites, travel distance, type of automobile, parking costs, etc. Health Insurance is required, and students may opt to enroll in UTMB’s insurance plans or provide proof of insurance coverage. Immunizations, drug tests, background checks, and fingerprinting (common for school districts) are required and have variable costs. The student is responsible for costs associated with centralized applications related to clinical rotations at affiliated hospitals. The student is responsible for all transportation and per diem costs.
