HYBRID WORKSHOP

September 7–8
In-Person and Virtual
The National Academy of Sciences Building

Washington, DC 20418

Over the past two decades, substantial investments have been made in the systematic collection of data that are comparable across countries and can inform and generate new knowledge on the heterogeneity of aging. This is an opportune time to learn more about how these data have been used, the viability of creating linkages with other data sources, and ways to address the methodological constraints that may impede cross-national comparisons.

Please join us for a two-day public workshop to identify the most promising directions for behavioral and social science research and data infrastructure investment for studying life course health, aging, and Alzheimer’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease-Related Dementias in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). This hybrid workshop and will be organized around three broad factors critical to aging in LMICs in the 21st century: inequality, environmental exposures, and family changes.
