The Hispanic Established Population for the Epidemiological Study of the Elderly (Hispanic EPESE) study provides data on risk factors for mortality and morbidity in Mexican Americans in order to contrast how these factors operate differently in non-Hispanic White Americans, African Americans, and other major ethnic groups. Both Dr. Al Snih and Dr. Markides have mentored and collaborated with countless students, post-docs, and early-career faculty members, leading to numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals.

The resulting data is archived and available for access within ICPSR’s National Archive of Computerized Data on Aging.
