Dr. Wong Presents Keynote at the 2021 International Conference Series on Aging in the Americas

Rebeca Wong, PhD is presenting a keynote address, "About Resilient Aging – Evidence using the Mexican Health and Aging Study," in the 21st International Conference Series on Aging in the Americas: Resilience and Aging in the Americas. The conference is hosted by Kyriakos Markides from UTMB, Verónica Montes De Oca from UNAM, and Rogelio Saenz from UTSA.

Dr. Wong is Associate Director of SCOA and Peaches & Shrub Kempner Distinguished Professor in Health Disparities, Department of Preventive Medicine and Population Health. She is Director of the WHO/ PAHO Collaborating Center on Aging and Health and Associate Director of the Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center.

This virtual conference is scheduled for Sept 23 and 24 from 1 pm CST to 5pm CST each day, including sessions on defining resilience and early career mentoring. A consensus building session will take place on Sept 24th and is open to the public.
