Dr. Lyons Receives Aging Professorship
Congratulations to Elizabeth J. Lyons, PhD, MPH, Associate Professor, Department of Nutrition & Metabolism, School of Health Professions on new professorship, the Grace Bucksch Gnitzinger Distinguished Professorship in Aging.
Dr. Lyons is a fellow at the Sealy Center on Aging and leader in training at the UTMB Pepper Center. She is also a behavioral researcher with an interest in creating interventions to improve cancer prevention and control by changing weight-related behaviors. She is particularly interested in using technology to increase motivation for physical activity among sedentary older adults and breast cancer survivors.
