Students on the SBB track receive research training under the supervision of SBB faculty who have expertise in Structural Biology and/or Biophysics. SBB students also extend their skills beyond the domain of their research lab through collaboration with supporting facilities that provide access to state-of-the-art instruments. Technologies available to SBB students include cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), X-ray crystallography, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, calorimetry, surface plasmon resonance, super-resolution imaging, mass spectrometry, computation, and many others. Expertise of faculty, enabling technologies/infrastructure, and stimulating atmosphere make SBB a great place for PhD research training.
