RESEARCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Reminder Emails to Now Be Sent for CITI Course Expirations

Individuals who complete CITI training will now receive email reminders when their training is about to expire. The IRB requires you complete CITI training every three years.

You will receive an email reminder at 90, 60, 30, and 7 days before expiration. You also will receive reminders at 1 day, 14 days and 30 days after your training has expired if you have not completed the refresher course.

We hope that this automatic email reminder from CITI will help investigators and their teams from being caught off guard at annual review or the start of a new project. Remember, all individuals named in a human research study must be current on their CITI training.

Please take this opportunity to log into your CITI account (you should be using your UTMB credentials at the CITI single sign on screen). Verify that your PRIMARY email address is your UTMB email. This ensures that not only will you receive your CITI email reminders at your UTMB email, but it also ensures that your CITI completion records are uploaded to your UTMB Learn transcript for easy tracking.
