The Musculoskeletal Imaging section at the University of Texas Medical Branch offers a full range of diagnostic services for patients with disorders of bones and joints. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality care utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and techniques. A large volume of digital radiographic images, CT and MRI examinations are reviewed by residents and faculty each day. Additionally, image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic joint aspiration and injection procedures are performed.

The musculoskeletal radiologists at UTMB provide expertise in imaging diagnosis of Orthopedic and Rheumatologic diseases. Special interests include sports-related injuries, MR-arthrography and imaging of osteomyelitis .The Musculoskeletal Imaging Section works closely with other specialists to provide a multidisciplinary approach to the evaluation and treatment of patients.

The Musculoskeletal faculty is committed to excellence in training resident physicians. Staff members provide numerous resident didactic and case conferences throughout the year and routinely participate in interdepartmental conferences with the orthopedic surgery, rheumatology and pathology departments.
