  • Goals and Objectives
    1. To provide, in 1 year, a comprehensive experience in Body Imaging, including basic
    techniques such as plain films, fluoroscopy studies, and ultrasound, to advanced
    modalities such as CT, MRI, and PET/CT.
    2. To train fellows to handle a high volume of Body CT and MRI studies generated by level
    1 trauma center, transplant center, and multiple inpatient hospital and subspecialty
    outpatient clinics.
    3. To expose the fellows to a wide spectrum of pathologies, including complex trauma, and
    oncology cases, and a rounded experience to include related Chest and Nuclear
    Medicine techniques (PET/CT).
    4. To provide multimodality imaging and a multidisciplinary clinical experience so that the
    graduating fellow is well equipped to excel in either an academic setting or private
    practice.

     

  • Overview
    This Fellowship program is non-ACGME accredited but approved by the Texas Medical Board. 2
    positions are available every year. This fellowship qualifies for the ABR 5th pathway, and UTMB
    supports J1 or H1 visa, if needed. Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) are encouraged to apply.

  • Qualifications and Application
    Candidates must be Board-Certified or Board-Qualified in Diagnostic Radiology and must be
    eligible to obtain TX medical license. Along with your completed application, please include
    your CV, a personal statement, and 3 letters of recommendation. Foreign medical graduates
    with requisite radiology training outside of the United States are also encouraged to apply. Visa

    Status: J-1 visa sponsorship available.
