We are very happy to share some exciting news from our School of Public and Population Health. Following an extensive and rigorous review process, the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) has awarded the school its full five-year accreditation.
This is a momentous occasion. The SPPH is the second UT System school of public health to be fully accredited. We are extremely proud we can now say that UTMB is home to a school united, officially, with the vision of Health Equity For All.
Thank you to all who have contributed to the school’s success. Our students, alumni, staff, community partners, university leadership, and faculty all greatly impressed the CEPH site visitors, leading to the excellent report we received.
We also extend a special thank-you to Dr. Cara Pennel for her leadership and extraordinary efforts on the self-study, and the entire educational leadership team for all of their hard work over the last two years.
Many thanks,
