UTMB was well represented at the Texas Educators’ Academies Collaborative for Health Professions – Southeast (TEACH-S) Educational Symposium, held June 14 at the University of Houston.
This event provides a forum for showcasing scholarly innovations of the regional community of educators. It includes keynote sessions, workshops, small group discussions, and oral and poster presentations.
UTMB educators submitted 19 of the 70 peer-reviewed presentations, with three taking top honors.

2nd place: Dora Hawkinson, JSSOM Physician Assistant Studies — “Line Drawing as a Patient Education Instructional Activity”
3rd place: Dr. Jill Bryant Bova and Dr. Sharron Forest, School of Nursing — "Improving and Sustaining a DNP Peer Mentoring Program”
