Terra Davis started her career at UTMB in 2015 as a contract employee with HCSS and has contracted in several departments over the years, including the John Sealy School of Medicine, Property Services, Pharmacology & Toxicology, President’s Office, Hospital Administration and Cardiology. While contracting in those different departments, she has built a great networking family and has learned so much in each role. In 2018, she accepted a permanent position at MD Anderson Cancer Center as an Administrative Assistant; wanting to be closer to home, after six months she transferred back to UTMB in the Division of Nephrology.
After two years in Nephrology as a Business Coordinator and desiring to advance in her career, she sought out a more challenging position, applying to and accepting her current role as a Senior Business Coordinator in Faculty Relations. In this role, Terra manages, coordinates and directly supports Faculty Relations administrative and business management, as well as process requests and other related duties as needed.
While working full-time and raising her son, she went back to school and received a BBA at the University of Houston-Victoria in healthcare administration in 2020, and an MBA in management in the spring of 2022. Terra is a proud mom of a kind, smart, handsome son who graduated from high school in May 2023, and she loves spending time with her family. She also enjoys all things fashion-related, cooking and traveling. Her favorite quotes are, “I love doing random acts of kindness. I judge myself not on what I have but what I am willing to give,” and, “Kindness is something the blind can see and the deaf can hear.”
