Eileen Garza

Eileen joined the Provost’s Office in 2023 and serves as the Associate Director of the AE Service Center. Her previous experience includes service at UTMB, MD Anderson Cancer Center and Child Protective Services.  Most recently, she was a Project Manager for the UTMB Health System, leading the Ambulatory STAR Squad to support critical staffing needs across the division.  

Eileen is experienced at handling multiple programs and projects, providing direct supervision, and supporting strategic initiatives, with an understanding of fast-paced environments, complex processes, and the sensitivity of timelines and confidential information. Through this experience, she has developed a passion for maintaining efficient operations. 

Eileen received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and will soon be enrolled in the Texas Women’s University MBA program. She has participated in programs focused on emotional intelligence, supporting her ability to engage inclusively and responsively. She has been an elected Diversity, Equity and Inclusion champion from August 2020 to August 2021, providing leadership to help others understand and appreciate the value of an inclusive workplace.
