David Hileman, MHA/MBA, FACHE

David Hileman serves as Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer in the Academic Enterprise. 

Previously, Mr. Hileman served as an Administrator in the Academic Enterprise for 16 years – most recently for ASG II, which includes the Departments of Internal Medicine, Neurosurgery, and Neurology, and the Sealy Center on Aging. Prior to joining UTMB, he held administrative leadership roles at Memorial Hermann Healthcare System over eight years. 

Mr. Hileman holds a Master of Healthcare Administration and Business Administration combined degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. He earned his Bachelor of Science in biomedical science from Texas A&M University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. 

When not at work, he enjoys being in the outdoors, spending time with his wife and three children, and volunteering time with his local Boy Scout troop.
