Belinda Orta

Belinda Orta became part of the Provost's Office team in December 2024, serving as an Administrative Coordinator. In this role, she provides vital support to the Provost's Office Business and Finance Operations team.  

Belinda began her UTMB healthcare career in 2012. During this time, she worked in several UTMB clinics as a Patient Service Specialist for several years, providing excellent customer service to patients. She then transitioned to the Department of Revenue Cycle Operations, where she worked on insurance claim denials.  

Prior to joining the Provost's Office, she served as a Coordinator II at UTMB Psychiatry for the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium, where she helped many students from various school districts in Texas obtain free telemedicine services for mental health support.   

Outside of work, Belinda loves to travel any chance she gets, especially to The Pacific Northwest. She has a love for capturing nature and birdlife through photography. Belinda also cherishes the time spent with her three chihuahuas, Lola, Luna, and Lucy, who keep her very busy and bring her great happiness.
