Senior Communications Specialist - Enterprise Support

Ashley Torres joined the UTMB Provost Office team as a Communications Specialist in May 2021, and was promoted to Senior Communications Specialist in June 2024. In her role, she collaborates closely with the Academic Enterprise, Office of Marketing and Communications, Faculty Group Practice leaders, and faculty members to provide marketing support for various programs and initiatives. Her responsibilities include crafting internal announcements, generating website content, and creating diverse marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, provider profiles, videos, and graphics.

Prior to her tenure at UTMB, Ashley served as the Marketing Director at Good Vibes Coastal Kitchen in Pearland, TX. There, she excelled in developing promotional content for social media, designing seasonal merchandise, managing online reviews, and assisting with front-of-house management during dinner service. With a decade of experience in the service industry, Ashley has held various roles including Director of First Impressions, Special Event Coordinator, and General Manager.

Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and is a proud Galveston native. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son, running, practicing yin yoga, and reading.
