Ann Borja, MHA/MBA

Vice President, Academic Finance

Ann Borja serves as the Vice President of Academic Finance for the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). In this role, Ann provides overall financial and budgetary leadership for UTMB’s Academic Enterprise.

Ann comes to UTMB with nearly 20 years of extensive healthcare, data analytics, and operations experience, including a decade dedicated to academic finance. Prior to joining UTMB, Ann served in an executive leadership role at Baylor College of Medicine which focused on finance master data administration and data analytics. Additionally, Ann has successfully led projects centered around physician productivity, affiliate agreements, and financial planning and forecasting.

Ann earned a Master of Healthcare Administration/Business Administration (MHA/MBA) degree from the University of Houston - Clear Lake and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University. Ann obtained her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training from the University of Houston and was previously recognized as a Baylor College of Medicine Woman of Excellence recipient in 2018.
