Animal Injuries in the Pediatric Urgent Care
Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and treatment of jellyfish stings
- Things should be avoided doing when treating a jellyfish sting
- Outline specific measures to be taken after exposure to rabies virus
- Apply strategies oriented to prevent the development of bite wound infections
- Recognize clinical features and plan the appropriate management for a patient with cat scratch disease
Target Audience and Needs: Physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
