April 2019: PhD defense
Lauren Richardson officially defended her PhD dissertation on April 17, 2019 and will graduate on May 17th. Lauren Richardson has successfully defended her PhD thesis on fetal membrane cellular transitions and its role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and membrane integrity. Lauren graduated a year in advance and has authored 10 first author papers and co-authored another 9 as a part of her thesis work.

Under Dr. Menon's guidance, Lauren Richardson's (Graduate student - The Menon lab) leadership, a new Global society, called Fetal Membrane Club has been formed to promote fetal membrane research. Lauren Richardson from The Menon laboratory has been elected as the Society's first Secretary-General.
