Galveston County vows to keep COVID testing open through 2020

More than 63,000 people have been tested for Covid-19 thanks to the countrywide testing program managed by Galveston County and UTMB. That program will continue through the end of 2020, official said. “Things would have been much, much worse had that not happened,” UTMB’s Ben Raimer told the Daily News. “The county had real foresight in pooling resources and bringing all the cities in, the health department in, UTMB in for one common goal.
