4. Professionalism |
What expectations do you have for the
student to demonstrate participation in the elective (e.g. small group
activities, seminars, thoughtful questions, providing resources, journal
club, resident lecture attendance)?
The instructor will discuss principles of appropriate attribution and
the referencing of literature with the student. The student is expected
to understand and to adhere to the principle that all presented work
must be solely the student’s own. |
The written manuscript should follow correct citation etiquette |
5. Other Modes of Evaluation |
Please explain below. |
The manuscript should follow the same format as a scientific paper. It should consist of an introduction, methods/materials, results, and discussion/conclusion. The introduction should provide background information on the topic and what the paper aims to accomplish. The methods and materials section should outline how the research project was executed. This includes how data was collected, how it was analyzed and what resources were used in the process. The results section should include the raw data collected. The discussion/conclusion section should include an analysis of the data and the implications of that analysis.
