The introduction should provide background information on the topic and what the paper aims to accomplish. The methods and materials section should outline how the research project was executed. This includes how data was collected, how it was analyzed and what resources were used in the process. The results section should include the raw data collected. The discussion/conclusion section should include an analysis of the data and the implications of that analysis.
