  • Is a Separate Application Required for Applicants Interested in the MD Program?
    • Yes. All applicants interested in the MD-PhD program must apply via the Texas Medical and Dental Schools Application Service (TMDSAS). Please visit the UMTB John Sealy School of Medicine admissions website for further information. Applicants interested in applying for both MD-PhD and MD-only programs must submit TMDSAS application with supplemental within TMDSAS.
  • Are applications from international students considered?
    • Only applicants who are permanent US residents or American citizens will be considered for interview and admission.
  • What is the TMDSAS application deadline?
    • November 7th
  • Do MD-PhD students receive financial support?
    • MD-PhD students receive an annual salary of $35,360 contingent upon the student's satisfactory progress. Students accepted into the MD-PhD Program receive full support for both medical school and graduate school tuition and also receive health insurance.
