To deliver our brand and messages in a consistent, coordinated and orchestrated fashion, we support the creation of institutional marketing plans that incorporate multiple media types and outlets, paid and earned media.
Areas Served / Scope of Work
For general marketing needs, we can consult with any area with a need or pending project. Our active creation, management and funding of external marketing is usually reserved for clinical priority areas. However, Marketing and Communications must review any advertising being purchased or external marketing collateral for all areas of UTMB.
The market research function primarily supports business planning for the clinical enterprise and assessment of marketing activities directed at increasing patient use of clinical services. However, some content like demographics, patient locations, and volumes are used in support of community outreach communications for areas such as Legislative Affairs and Development.
Our SEO and SEM efforts are largely focused on initiatives identified as institutional priorities by UTMB leadership. We do advise, review sites and share strategies with broader areas of the university. For online marketing, most of our energy and dollars are dedicated to driving clinical revenue in specific types of services with demonstrated capacity and where patient preference is known to be heavily influenced by web research. Quality and traffic analysis tools are available to all areas.
