Container: | Vial with Michel's solution obtained from Surgical Pathology Gross Room. |
Storage/Transport: | Tissue biopsy is placed in Michel's solution. Specimen should be labeled with the patient's first and last names, unit history number and specimen source. It is to be delivered immediately to the Surgical Pathology Gross Room. Short term storage at 4 ºC if necessary. DO NOT FREEZE AND DO NOT PLACE IN FORMALIN. |
Causes for Rejection: | Specimen placed in formalin or other fixative, sample not stored appropriately, insufficient identification, incomplete request form (pink sheet) or order not pladed in Beaker. |
