Collection: | Random urine in plastic urine container with no additives. Supervised collection required if chain of custody collection requested. (Min.: 3 mL of urine). |
Storage/Transport: | Room temperature if delivered to Sample Management within 1 hours of collection, or refrigerated if > 1 hours. |
Specimen Preparation: | Refrigerate specimen within 1 hour of collection. |
Stability: | Refrigerated for ≤ 7 days. |
Causes for Rejection: | Specimen collected in container with a preservative, incomplete and/or incorrect sample identification, and improper storage/transport. |
