| Specimen Requirements: | Preferred: Fresh specimens sent to the laboratory immediately; Acceptable: specimens refrigerated 1-2 days. Appropriate containers include capped syringes with needle removed, 1-liter vacutainer bottles.
Do not add alcohol or other fixative. |
