Dr. Alkhateeb is a clinical and invasive cardiologist at UTMB. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio. Dr. Alkhateeb is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Internal Medicine, Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Alkhateeb’s interests include medical education of students, residents and cardiology fellows. Prior to joining UTMB, he served as the associate director for the Cardiovascular Disease fellowship program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso. His clinical interests include pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, valvular heart disease, Echocardiography and multi-modality imaging.
