Jun 13, 2024, 11:11 AM by Claiborne Fant

The Scientific Research & Design Bench Tutorials program is recruiting postdoctoral and predoctoral mentors for the 2024-25 academic year!

Through the Bench Tutorials program, Ball High School students are paired with a graduate student or postdoctoral fellow to learn about and gain experience in advanced research. In the fall 2024 term, mentors will interact with high school mentees up to 5 times at the Ball High School campus.  In the spring 2025 term, high school mentees will come to UTMB campus to work with mentors in their laboratories. Selected mentors will be paid $1000 in both the fall and spring terms.

Postdoctoral fellows and PhD program graduate students in candidacy and good standing are eligible to apply.  Approval of your research supervisor/laboratory PI is required.

Applications are due by June 28, 2024.  The attached application is to be uploaded to the following form: https://forms.office.com/r/Ud7d6X2ci8

You will be contacted later about an informational meeting.

Questions should be directed to Claire Hallmark, MPH, at cchallma@utmb.edu.
