Javier M. Gomez, MD 

Resident Physician

Dr. Gomez joined the Department of Family Medicine in 2024. He is a resident physician in training at the Family Medicine Clinic – Island East. Dr. Gomez earned his Bachelor Science in Biology from the University of Texas Rio Grand Valley in Edinburg, Texas.  Dr. Gomez earned his Doctorate of Medicine from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.

Dr. Gomez is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Dr. Gomez speaks Spanish and has academic, clinical and research interests in Lifestyle Medicine and Sports Medicine.
